Optic 6 has major Glitching

I have had my Optic 6 since Dec.05 and it's been a good TX but lately it's been causing major glitching to where I can't even use it anymore . I went on the Hitec forum and found they have a problem with the module not connecting tight enough to the radio. I tried all of there (tape) fixes but now it's really bad and the module gets hot. I'm about to throw this thing away and get a DX6. I will send it to Hitec for repair but I wonder if that will be permanent fix or is it going to act up again a few months.

Has anyone had this problem and got it fixed by Hitec?
Did the fix work?

I'd recommend a little research on the DX6 before leaping. There seems to be enough rumblings to convince me to hold off until something more feature rich comes out.

OWW! thats not good news I was thinking of ordering an Optic 6 with the spectra module as I had heard complaint's of lag time with the DX6. Anyone else with an Optic 6 that has glitches?...Sleepster... 8)

I dropped off my Optic 6 today so flying my heli is out of the ? for right now. I was told the new Optic 6's that are on the shelf do not have this issue. Only the ones with production dates around 7-2005 (507 tag) seem to be having glitches. and that's my prod. date. It seems the glitches get worst with the more use, and the module becomes hot, then your heli falls from the sky "twitching". On mine if I tap on the Module my heli would start glitching even more.

I still like my Optic 6 and will use it when I get it back. bummer about the DX6 lang time, I was really sold on the 2.4ghz system and was going to get one but none of my other TX glitch using 72mhz (to bad there not for helis) so I will keep it for now. 8)

my DX6 was working fine on the mini titan
but just did not have all the settings i had on my hitec eclipse so i bought the assan 2.4g modaul for the hitec and now its evan better :)
this also helps in the long change over for me as well to 2.4g
