Hello once again fellow helitown members. Yesterday i had a chance to have a buddy get some video of my Trex 450. It's the 2nd video of it, the first one has yet to be digitalized. Yesterday it was kinda windy, about 10 miles an hour (you can see the wind in the tree about halfway through), and I will say that flying in wind definately can help you out a bit in building skills. you don't know what the heli will do next and have to react accordingly.

A bit later after a couple more battery charges, i tried to fly it left side in backwards out in front of me to the left and then transfer to a right side in flying forwards out in front to the right and crashed. broke the horizonal tail fin mount, which also holds the pitch pushrod for the tail, so its out until i get a new one. i think i may just try and glue this one, but i kinda see this as a reason to get some new upgraded tail blades as well as a new tail blade brace. Like the saying goes with my RC trucks - what you break you get to upgrade.

Anyway, here's the video, hope you enjoy:

basic, great job! You did pretty good. I liked your twist. You had a good number of audience. Don't let them close to your heli though.

they weren't too close. i was the closest to it, and it never came closer than 10 feet to me. they guy who taped it was zoomed in on it from about 20 feet from away. the kids with the firecrackers weren't helping matters much. but really the wind was the biggest challenge.

Its amazing how much more tail control this has than my blade cp pro. the gyro holds much much much better too. it seems when i'm flying the blade cp i'm always having to hold the tail in, but with this trex it will hold itself really well. 30 seconds hovering without any tail input is pretty routine with it, as long as it's not too windy and the trim gets set well.

today i think i'm going to work on getting a new RX installed in the blade cp pro, but that's another thread.
