Hi,

I see there doesn't seem to be much happening with the Hirobo XRB Lama...I know it's been out for a while as well as the Blade CX2... I'm kinda sold on the XRB but I'm still somewhat debating wether I should purchase a CX2 OR XRB!!. Each have their good and bad sides to them as I have read on various forums. I currently fly...or flew should I say a Micro Mosquito in the house...but the battery's dead and I want something better for in the house. Blades are bound to hit something...the floor...the corner of a furniture. Accidents happen, people say the CX2 witll break down when the blades hit...wheareas the XRB will only need blade replacements, I guess that's a plus. I just wonder HOW brittle they are if for ex, it's hovering over the floor at about one foot high and it falls to it's side, will they break down?

As anything "better" replaced bothe the XRB and the Blade CX2?

Any info will be appreciated!.

Thanks.

yes!

The Blade mCX. I love mine, fly it anywhere (in the bloody car even), bars, restaurants, office cubicle, etc.

Very robust in crashes, and even cheaper to fix. haven't broken a blade yet, but have had to replace them because I broke both ball links off

Dear B-)

Thanks for your encouragements!. BUT I was was talking about the Blade CX2...

I've had a micro heli from Walkera before and ...to be honest with you it did not last very long. It was very cheaply built. As for the MCX...I can't say, sounds like you really like it!!

Can't go wrong with an esky lama, eflite bladecx2, mcx, or a Hirobo XRB Lama.
I would go with the esky, myself.
It is a basic fact of life, crash a heli, expect broken parts. If nothing breaks, count it as a blessing! Good news is, for these little helis, you can go on ebay and buy 10 pair of blades for next to nothing(especially for the esky lama). Think of them as force absorbing elements( protecting the more expensive parts).
Have fun!

Thanks Ken!. That ESKY LAMA V3 does look great and at a very affordable price.

But like I mentionned, the blades may well act like "shock absorbers" for the rest of the heli, but the main shaft, rotors,etc...will definitely get a blow also...

The Hirobo Lama XRB, the advantage would be that it's better to change those foam blades more often (although they can get expensive), than for the rest of the delicate parts to get the blow.

Anyways, I do appreciate the info/feedback!!

Thanks again!!

"As anything "better" replaced bothe the XRB and the Blade CX2?"

was the question I was responding to, and in my opinion, I'd say yes and recommend the mCX.

I've had the CX/2 and wasn't going to get another coaxial. Then I saw / flew the mCX and had to have one. It is the epitome of what I expected with the CX/2. It is a hell of alot more stable and crash resistant. Not to mention cheaper and smaller. I've flown it way more than I ever flew the CX/2. And am still flying it. My co-worker who bought my CX/2 also got an mCX, and now he fly's that more than the CX/2 also.

I just flew a lama v4(esky) a few moments ago. Co worker just brought his in for me to test fly. I must say, it is a VERY stable heli, and after he started flying it, I can testify to its crashworthyness..................nothing broken so far!
