reprogram Align esc.

How do I reprogram my Align RCE-BL25X/35X esc.?It says to place the throttle stick to the highest position,switch on the transmitter then connect the battery to the esc.if I do this won't my motor take off at full throttle,since the throttle stick is at highest position?

Follow instructions steps here http://www.rchelicoptertown.com/forum/showpost.php?p=3124&postcount=15 or the instructions that came with ESC.

For safety, remove the pinion from the motor or remove the motor from the helicopter altogether. Your motor wouldn't take off because it will enter the program mode instead of flight mode. My suggestion is to be ready with your options before you start programming so you know what you need.

Thanks for the help I just reprogrammed and it worked out fine.I just loosened the motor mounting screws and slid the motor back away from the main gear,so the two gears didn't mesh.

Glad that worked and all is well but as a reminder to others...When you separate the pinion and main gear, make sure to tighten the motor screws down to keep the start up torque from re-engaging them. be smart that way like zip80!

Nothing quite like that motor kicking in and eating 3 teeth on the MG. Well unless it kicks in and grabs showing a preview of the chicken dance.
