If your BCP 4in1 flashes back an forth when you power up with the Tx on first, chances are the Rx in the 4in1 does not recevice the signal from the Tx. First to check is the seating of the crystals in the Tx and Rx.

Do you servo works when you move the Tx stick, if you can control the servos, the Rx is receiving signal from the Tx. The esc of the 4in1 needs to see the throttle signal at the off position in order to arm for safety. Once the esc is armed, the LED light will turn to solid green, the LED will turn red at full throttle.

Make sure the idle up switch is off and Tx is on before power up the 4in1.

ok i have prefrom a few tests but im going to give you some back ground first. i have 3 rc planes an 1 heli. all are programed into my futaba 7channl ratio. its not the best but not the worst. it works good for me, anyhow i flown my p-51 just before i went to fly my heli an had no problums. then i went to play with my heli an had the flshing lights stay on. All channl 16 but differant settings in the tx of coures. ok my tests shows that signal is reaching all 3 planes but not the heli. but like u said the servos dont even move an the red light does not stay red when i thottle up on the stick? hope this makes sents to u:) an to top it all off i have a second 4in1 that had crashed along time ago but it was fine i just got worryed an got a new one for it anyways an for trubleshooting perposes {its doing the same thing} wonder why i can have sigal to all my planes but not have it with 2 ,,,4 in 1s this is a tuffy:) ill go over my heli settings, while i wait for reply. hope this helps thanks for helping

Since your other planes are working fine with the same radio, you can rule out the Radio. Unless you changed any set up in the radio for your heli model since the last time it worked, you can focus on your 4 in 1 and the crystal now. Did you check the RX crystal to make sure it sits tight in the 4 in 1?

Try decreasing the throttle trim? The 4N1s are the first to go around me so i don't really have much experience with them, but that's easy to check.

ok i have checked the seating of the rx crystal an every thing seems to be ok. i have tryed the thotle trim an still the same thing. im thinking about re programing my tx an starting from scatch. hopfuly ill find some thing:(

Thing I'd try next is unplug the motors and reverse the throttle chan. Or maybe change crystals back and try the OEM TX. I know nothing is wrong with your Fut. but if it's a bad crystal, etc.

A couple more thing to look for - the 4 in 1 could be the problem if all other things have been ruled out. Did you see any smoke or smell anything strange? I hear alot about some parts in 4 in 1 dropped off, etc.

well i tryed the original tx for the blade with the crystals in question and my airplane crystils to rule out that, an still the same thing. its funny that both of my 4 in 1s are bad {better that than my transmitter:) And im luckey my heli didnt do this in flight lol so i think it is the 4 in 1? what do u guys think?

sounds like the 4 n 1 then. You can isolate it farther by taking it apart (nothing much to loose now). The gyro/esc/mixer part un plugs from the Receiver half. supply 5v to the rx and see if it works.

It seems like the only thing left is the 4 in 1. How long do you have it? You may want to call HH, they would fix it or replace a new one for you if it is defective and it is still under warranty.

One of my Blade 4 in 1 got fried while I was testing my tail motor on my table - nothing serious. I called HH and they had me sent in it and then they sent me back a brand new one.

I too think you have made all the tests I would have made and it looks like the 4 in 1 units are bad but so strange you have both that are bad !! ??

You used the xtal out of the other model? These are the same as in all your models are single conversion PPM ? no PCM or duell conversion Rx's ??

I have talked with many Blade CP owners and something funny I found out is most of them have at least one bad 4 in 1 unit since they own Blade CP.

im going this weekend to get a 4 in 1.. pricey little things lol. i kinda need educated in the dual convertions cystalls. not sure what it means? oo i have anther ? too . i have a futaba tx that has heli settings in it so i am running my heli with it. i have been staying with the same channel in it.. but is a futaba tx running the cp 4 in 1 ok?? should i buy eflite 4 in 1 , or should i get a futaba rx for my heli? PS this weekend i had to but my P-51 in the bean feild cuz the engine quit lol shes ok nice soft landing tho. lol my heart stoped but i got her down safe. shes on you tube under R/C P-51 Miss America if you guys get board. need better camera tho lol the flybys came out good but the b,role an dives didnt lol

Double conversion RX have 2 mixing stages to get rid of the carrier freq. Since the crystal is a sum of the freqs a dual conversion and single conversion will require different crystals.

I always recommend using the OEM crystal. Doing so is heading off that concern with glitching etc. It also just makes sense. Having said that the Futaba single conversion crystals (short crystals) work.

If you happen to have a lot of servo extensions on hand (5) you can connect a different RX to the 3n1 board. It seems pretty rare that the RX part goes out. I'm still having a hard time buying that it's not a simple problem. Does your other bad 4n1 do the same thing? If not you can swap RX boards in them and have 1 good one and 1 completly bad one.

flashing red and green means no signal
solid red means no low throttle to arm

i agree for some reason i feel when i go to get the 4 in 1 its going to do the same thing but at least we will know right. i have been flying my plane for 2 weeks after the heli so i think if it is the controler than its something on the heli side but like you said its flashing red an green for no signal. I have the 7CAP/7CHP futaba tx system. i run 3 planes an 1 heli planes work great. ok so that good. i have 2 4 in 1 ... one is 6 mounths old the other is like a year old. i crashed the year old 1 but it was fine but for safty i changed it an have been flying her all summer. i have put my airplane crystals in it to see if that was it an no. i have hooked up the old tx an same thing with the 4 in 1 ,both of them but i have tryed differnt cystals contrlers im stumped.. i hope the new 4 in 1 work lol bottum line what rx would you run in your blade? im good with planes but picking heli rx i need help :) thanks guys

Berg7 or gws6. on the micro it don't seem to matter much as I seldom fly farther away from me than it'll range check (ant down) anyway.
