Guys and Gals.
I have just read this rather disturbing thread on Heliaddicts plus one on RR
http://www.rcheliaddict.co.uk/showthread.php?t=6117
It would appear that there is tendancy for these blades to "throw" a lead weight.
As I am using these blades on my new 600N I am as of now grounding them immediately until the issue is confirmed.
I noticed issues when I first spooled up the heli, tracking etc, which seemed to "go away" this could have been the cause.
Should,ve listened to Graham lollol.
Be warned.......
In the meantime I have ordered a set of TT type blades.

I don't blame you Pete, you can't be too careful IMHO. Sounds like common sense to replace them till you get verification that they are ok

Am I correct in understanding that the affected blades are the Carbon Fiber, not the Glass Fiber (reinforced plastic)?

I got this from readyheli.com
Dear Valued Ready Heli Customer:
We've recently been made aware of some safety concerns regarding the the Align Carbon Fiber Blades product # H60115.
Ready Heli recommends that you STOP using these blades immediately. Due to our commitment to stand behind the products we sell, we would like to take this opportunity to offer a FREE exchange of the Align Carbon Fiber blades you have recently purchased from us.
Please understand that this is an offer made by Ready Heli and not Align, Align USA or any other party. The manufacturer or distributor may or may not decide to replace, refund, or warranty these blades to you directly outside of our offer and accepting these replacements may void that opportunity via those channels.
The blades you return will be replaced with RCP Carbon Fiber Blades (http://www.readyheli.com/SearchResults.asp?Search=RCP)in a size of your choosing (500, 550, 600 or 325).
Please note this offer is good for 'un-crashed' pairs of blades only.
So if they are replacing blades they sold it must be a genuine alert!

Yes Steve, that's the message that started me off.
They are the carbon fibre blades
600A not B

I have a set not used yet ! I will ask the seller when he returns from his holidays, Midland said to me on the phone that Align have NOT recalled the blades in the UK, he said it could be just one batch and not a batch sent to the Uk. As ours was imported, maybe not the case for us.

Reading through the c**p on the RR thread it would appear that this first happened about 5 months ago, but was thought to be a "one off".
Hope I get my new blades soon, as I am one heli down now :(.
Still, much better that, than losing it altogether or dread the thought and getting someone injured as well.
Don't use them folks
Pete
P.S Might be worth making this thread a "Sticky"
