Here's the deal - My Lama3 that i bought used had the flexible tail installed, and flying around i kind got too close to a wall and broke the tail. after trying to glue it and the glue not holding i just cut it off. through the balance off a little, so added wieght to the rear, but instead of flying around with a bob tail, i was looking at some of the upgrades avaible to the boom and body of the lama. of course that also led to upgrades to the shafts and grips etc. So i guess what's have people tried and do they like? I already have the extreme blades on mine and have good luck with them.

Also, has anyone ever seen a brushless co-axial? i was thinking that it may be interesting to make a brushless one, but i don't know how the gyro controls the difference in speed between the blades. Maybe that is too much work, not too mention you would have to carry 2 escs, 2 motors, and probably a larger battery

Hi ! I got the Lama V4 and my upgrade is extreme blade, inner aluminium shaft and dynam vortex flybar. The alu inner shaft is a good upgrade cos it will keep your flybar intact when u had a crash, But it gave my heli the TBE effect after i install it. Tones of tuning and triming with no success till i install the dynam vortex flybar also call as upgraded shortened flybar by some vendor. Now my heli can hover hands free.

Haven't seen any brushless lama yet :) . Why not the extreme 180 motors ?
Alot of people do recommend it.

Check this out it's a 400 size brushless coax

that 400 size coax is awesome. looks to be CP too with symmetrical blades. taht would be awesome if youd could get some upside down flight and stuff. might just be how the pics look though.

thanks for the suggestion on the flybar, will look into it. right now i'm running the stock one with the brass weights removed. it will hover HO but drifts sometimes to the right or forward, i think it needs mechnically trimmed and stuff. May also look at trying to set it up with my hitec Eclipse 7. the brushless idea is still playing in my mind.

as far as the tail boom mods and canopy and stuff, anyone have any suggestions there? is it worth it? i like how the real tail boom looks more than the lama one, but will it effect performance? any suggestions?

Hi, Basic
Did u mean the extreme lama kit ? Yes surely it looks more nicer than stock lama V3 and the xtreme landing skid looks more durable than stock's skids
Personally i like the extreme CX kit more than the extreme lama's, the extreme cx come with a more cooler canopy and skids. But bear in mind that those plastic would surely weight more than stocks means shorter fly times.
The extreme's kit is just for looks and issit worth ? well ! depends on you. If the extreme production come out with V4 kits like the cx's, I will surely have the extreme V4.

I forgot someone asked question before about if they made a bigger coaxial than Blade CX. So this is it. It is very interesting to see the design. I don't see the tail rotor but I see a servo mount to the boom, what is that servo for? It would be great to hear some comments on how it flies.

well, it should be one of those things that in theory it doesn't need a seperate rear servo, unless it is running only one engine and the rear rotor is used for yaw control. it's possible to run both mains off one motor and have them rotating at the same speed, much simpler, but on the micros the dual motors to control yaw is simpler than having a rear rotor. if running both motors the same speed the rear rotor would control yaw as in a traditional heli.

I'm wondering if that co-ax isn't a different heli modded. who knows. would like more info on it though.

Hi, Guys
It's a SJM400 and still in building stage. Some video here http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?p=6337134#post6337134

I am excited to see that work, it looks pretty fun. I am surprised at the two sets of flyubars though, but what do I know, I am just learning.
