Hi... Anyone out there please tell me why my cp2 isnt firing, got it out of the box... went thru all the steps, plugged in the battery pack, and the led stays on red... I've left it for 10 minutes, and it says it should turn green within seconds... I am so excited by my new toy, but it wont fire at all... Thanks for your advice... J.C

Hi, red light = the throttle is to hign / rev or that it can't see the TX signal.
Make sure the throttle trim is at the bottom, low, same as the throttle stick, then turn on the heli.
Could the throttle have been reversed, did you move any switches?

Make sure both xtals match as in the same ch numbers, but I think you get a red flashing light.

Let me know, I will stay on line.

Well... It would help if I realised earlier... I have recieved this transmitter in left throttle, mode 2... So I was pushing down on the wrong stick, and jamming the reciever from engaging... I charged the battery and gave it a go... Several tries... Several Crashes and a set of main blades later... I think my problems solved... Now I just have to wait for parts... :( Thanks for your advise though, and I just have to be less excited when unwrapping my goodies and study the instructions before getting carried away next time... Yeah... I had a el-cheapo 3ch that I flew into the ground... But that doesnt really count in comparison... I have been researching them for the past few weeks, so I didn't buy a dud... But now I'm waiting again, and I've only had it 5 hours... Thanks for your help... j.c

Well, you have your training gear on? just try little hops out side with very little wind or if inside with lots of space !

If on a smooth floor, get the heli light on its legs and move it about the floor just keeping the power on but not to lift off. Once your Ok with that small hops and each time try making them longer. The CP will most laways damage itself if you crash, so you will soon be ordering two or three of every thing you need to replace !

While you are waiting on your parts give this a good read.
http://www.dream-models.com/eco/flying-index.html it's radd's school of rotary flight and if you honestly heed it you won't crash learning to hover.

But since you will get carried away and ignore it....go ahead and buy several sets of blades.
