I had my Optic 6 repaired by Hitec because of glitches and when I received at back it had a used case for the module and tape wraped around it to help keep it tight.

So far I have had no glitches and it WORKING GREAT....The problem is when you try to remove the module to change channels it's almost imposible to pull the module from the radio TX, and when you do finally work it out the tape becomes ruined and I have to re-tape it. A lot of hassel to chage a channel. May be next time design the pots on the outside so you don't have to remove it. Not happy with the tape fix.

Hmmm... does not sound like it is a good repaire by wraping the tape!

Wow I've had an optic 6 sitting around for a couple months as a spare. I t never occured to me the rotary switches are on the side of the module.

I had to pull it out and see. Yep they are, I'm spoiled by my 9chp.

I probably should sell the optic 6 and get a spare campac for the 9chp as it'd make a lot more sense to replace the 9chp and put the spare campac in it than reprogramming all my aircraft.

I'd think that if the module got loose it'd make a lot more sense tape inside the hole so it folded over the top, than to tape the module. It seems elsewise every time you tried to remove the module, the tape would try to fold over itself and jam it.

While I was looking at mine it seemed a very tight fit in the hole and I can't see it getting loose. Do they just wear out eventually? or was it just a brief run of bad QA?
