To promote RC Helicopter Hobby, HeliTown selects a picture with unique characteristics as a picture of the month. The picture of the month will be posted in the picture of the month block under the picture of the year block for a month and on the Picture of the Month and Year gallery album. Pictures of the Month will be automatically included in the final selection for Picture of the Year in December.
Picture of the Month Rules (effective for March 2007 picture of the month and on):
1. Each month any HeliTown’s registered member except eddiemoth, Admin or Helitown can nominate one of his/her own pictures or other’s. cmaxim can nominate other pictures but not her own. The nomination will be closed at 5:00 pm forum time on the 20th of each month. Please post your picture nomination in the corresponding month thread.
2. The nominated picture must be primarily RC helicopter picture. The helicopter is the main subject of the picture.
3. On the 25th of each month, all three judges (Ranger306ci, FlyGuy and Basic) will vote, select one picture and submit it to Admin 5:00 pm forum time on the 27th. The verdict will be posted by the lead judge - Ranger306ci in the Picture of the Month thread at the same time.
4. Admin will contact the owner, obtain information, write up the picture description and post it as stated above.
5. In case there is no nomination by 5:00 pm forum time on the 20th, Admin will select three pictures (not his or cmaxim’s) for judges to vote.
6. When a picture of the three judges (Ranger306ci, FlyGuy and Basic) is nominated, that judge will not be allowed to vote on his/her own picture.
7. A picture can be repeatedly nominated as long as it has not been selected before.
