Your e-mail is only used to create the unique ID for your User ID during the time you are registering. Once you are registered, it will be only used by the Admin in a rare situation; for example, a forum outage or activity updates from the Admin.
At HeliTown we don't display member's email on the member list to anybody - including members or guests. HeliTown members have an option not to receive a mail from a member. You can set it up in the User CP. If you choose not select that option, a member can send you e-mail but only via php mail which does not display your e-mail address until you choose to reply his to his e-mail. So if you get a spam e-mail from a member, it is good not to reply but inform Admin Team or a Moderator so we can give him a warning. FYI, if you send a member a email via php mail, your email address will become available to the user who you are emailing.
