Hi Dominic,
Welcome to HeliTown forum and thanks for joinging. Not sure here you are in your set up, so tell us a little more. Do you have a pitch gauge? The ccpm is cyclic and collective pitch mixing - all three servos work together to get a desired move vs. in a non-ccpm each servo works individually. I think SE is set up ccpm already mechincally. I don't have a Trex450 SE but a MX400 that is not CCPM unless it is upgraded. I am sure the Tech Support team will walk you through once they see your questions.
Again - welcome
Eddie

Also, if you don't have a manual which tells you what the linkage length should be, you can also try to adjust whatever so that the swashplate goes up and down along the main shaft as much as possible without touching anything. It should not touch anything while it's at its extreme position and with full cyclic either.

Welcome to the 'town Dominic. The swash plate travel will be setup in swash AFR it will simply be as high as it takes to get your desired max pitch. It varies from setup to setup so there is no simple answer.

CCPM is a method of mixing 3 servos to raise, lower and tilt in unison. I'm not very familiar with the 6exhp, but fortunately the the tx does all the math in swash AFR, and gives a lot of flexibility.

A good place to start is http://www.helitown.com/Trex450.html look at the cde which is CCPM and yours is the same only blinged out from the box. :D The HDE is a mechanical mix and fun to know (and use) but please don't confuse the two.

What mode is your TX in most all in the US fly mode 2 and it shouldn't be a big deal if you are mode 1 as long as you substitute the correct stick for a function. It seems mode 2 is becoming the heli standard though.

Any way we can help just let us know.

I would like to thank you all for your help i had my first 3 inch off the ground today then the moter made a high pitch screem and down she came. On inspection the main shaft out of the motor has snaped. any 1 know why it would do this??????

That's a new one on me. I've seen pinions come off. shafts slip on the rotor, but never a shaft break in mid air.

There are a smattering of choices here. http://www.trextuning.com/motors.php

assuming you are going to run 3S lipo somewhere in the 3000-3500 KV range would be about right. As a beginner you should probably be looking around 80g in weight. There are lots of other opinions around but it's hard to beat an align 420LF or 430LF with the new styl can, for value.
