Just wanted to get to know the person who started these forums. Tell us about yourself. Why did you decide to create Helitown forums?

Hi Bryan,
Welcome to HeliTown! It is a very good question. I think other people maybe wondering the same but didn’t take the time to ask. So first, I’d like to thank you for asking the important question.
I was always interested in the rc heli hobby for many years before I actually got into it. There was an RC club on my way to work. Every time I drove by, I was sucked into it like you get sucked into a whirl. I always stopped and watched those guys flying their helicopters. However, I did not start the hobby until I got burned out at work a few years later and that was when I decided to got into it.
HeliTown was not conceptualized until when I created an MX400 Owners Link page at RCgroups and had problems getting it to be a sticky thread. Then, it was my other hobby (web development) that put me on the road to HeliTown. HeliTown was chosen to imply both the community and place where people come and meet each other to find RC helicopter information, ask, learn, share and enjoy the hobby. So, when two hobbies (rc helicopter and web development) collided together, HeliTown was born :). I hope I answered your question.
Once again, I just want to take the time to say thank to those who registered and be part of the ‘town; especially the Tech support and moderator team who always stand behind me, encouraging and supporting. With my limited RC helicopter and web development experience and resouces, I am asking you all to join me to help make HeliTown your ‘town where we all can come and meet each other to find RC helicopter information, ask, learn, share and enjoy the hobby.

Hi Sleepstalker, what brought you to this thread? I already forgot about it. It is a little over than a year old now. This brought back the old memories of HeliTown. I can't still believe myself that HeliTown started with a link page of MX400. Thanks for bringing this thread back.

Hi Eddie I just like looking through some of the old threads on the forum . It helps to remind me how far we have come in such a short time . This is not just a community , it is almost an online family except for the fact that we all get along better with one another than most family's do . I have much respect for the regulars that take the time to not only help people with heli technical problems but also take the time to " keep in touch ". And you are THE MAN for creating this avenue of information and a sense of Comeraderie on this site.
My hat is off to you Eddie Moth and Thank You...Sleepster...:D
