Hi Guy's,
My new TX is coming soon, it will have a synthersized Rx.
To eliminate the arieal routing problems, I was going to use a Quick UK base load arieal, I believe I have to cut the Rx wire to install the new one.
Has any one out there tried this with a synth Rx ?
Regards, Glen

The synthesized Rx don't use crystals, it has the synthesized unit to replace it, so it would still need a normal aerial. You should be ok to use the base loaded short one, it will come with instructions on cutting the aerial wire down and fitting.

I have never used a base loaded, I would rather keep the longer, standard wire aerial that I know works well.... When fitted you must do a full range test !! If it is with electric power heli, do the range test with the motor turning, you will need to ask for help doing this ! This will make sure all is Ok with any motor/ESC interference.

Thanks G-MRM
It will be on a Raptor 50v2 with longranger fuse ( you can find it in the scale section ) Anyway if it proves to not work so well, can I replace the wire arieal with a new one? Regards, Glen

Just a thought, in a scale model you run the aerial wire inside the body and it works very well without being seen, unless it is carbon body ? To keep it out of the way you can glue the thin aerial tube to the inside and push the wire in.

Hi again G-MRM,
The fuse is not carbon, just fiberglass. I'll give it ago as you suggest, and save the base load for the T-Rex ( it's slightly less expensive if it go's south)
Thanks for your input Cheers , Glen.
