I recently purchased a used Futaba 6XH Tx and a Dynam R-6P Rx. When I power it all up I get uncontrolled responses from the servos. Ihave no control with the Tx. Is it possible it's the crystals? By the way the Rx is single conversion, could it be that i;m using dual conversion crystals?

You sounded like your RX does not get signal from your TX. I am also thinking that your crystal may not be the right one. Check this in case it is helpful. http://www.webx.dk/rc/RX-measurements/komplet-listen.htm

gord,

Futaba radios broadcast on negative shift frequency.
Make sure the Dynam receiver is also negative shift or it will not work.
Airtronics and JR radios broadcast on positive shift frequency, and need a positive shift receiver.
Some of the newer receivers are switchable for both negative and positive shift, but most are available in negative or positive shift only.

That would be a problem as your dual conversion crystal would leave your single conversion RX on the wrong freq.
