Well here is my new baby !!
Its a Raptor 50V2 fitted into a Funky Airwolf fus, i got to say it is a fantastic body and so well made and painted, not the most easy model i have put together !! lots of problems along the way but now all sorted and ready to fly, must say i cant wait for the weather to get better to give her a whirl.

Heres her spec :

Raptor 50V2 std mechanics
OS 50 hyper (from my old rappy as she is very reliable !)
Std Rappy 50 pipe
Futaba S3152 on all cyclics
Futaba GY401 And S0254 on the tail
Futaba S9254 on the throttle (need a fast response !!!! )
Align 2 in 1 remote glow system
Full align lipo rx pack
Cirius retract servos on the U/C
Futaba FP168ic PCM 9 chan RX
Ripmax Std glass main blades
Std TT tail blades

And thats it !!!

As said there where a few building problems along the way and given the option of doing another i would turn down the challenge !! LOL

If anyone is thinking of doing what i have done and would like some advice i have no problem in helping out but be warned it will take you some time to complete, but the end result is well worth it !!

Congratulations Helitek! You are obviously very talented and detail oriented. I am only a newbie in coaxial electrics but hope to move up to building from kits and eventually from scratch. This is very inspiring. I look forward to some video of your bird in action.

I am so jealous ;)8-). Eventually, way into the future, I want to fly a 50 size Bell 222. Happy flying.

im planning on building an airwolf. i have bought a Airwolf Fuselage - Honey Bee CP2/Blade CP from ebay am planning on getting a hone bee cp2 hellicopter but the wheels and under carriage is causing me alot of problems it seems a hard thing to get is a retractable tri wheel system on a hellicopter which is smaller than the 30 and 50 kits. so dont know what i can do about the wheels.

Sorry but you pretty much buy all the parts and then put them together. I suppose you could find a builder to put it all together and set it up to ship it but I don't know who.

As a side note you may have to arrange for hard currency transfers due to CC fraud. Unfortunately Pakistan is pretty much near the top of the list of places not to accept CC charges from. Merchant services won't cover the transaction even after they approve it so few will accept them.

I've just finished building the 30 size one with hawk mechanics. Just waiting for decent weather so I can test it.

congrats on your airwolf build. i too am an airwolf fan and currently i am flying my 3rd. the first one was a larry jolly 60 size fuse i built in the early 90's/ after 7 yrs i retired it to the cieling of the local hobby shop where someone bought it after he made an offer needing not be refused. i later built a 30 size in 2001 and flew it several yrs til it too was sold due to an incredible offer. my 3rd and hopefully the final one is a 50 size funkey with a sceadu evo inside. as with the first two, i made my own custom retractable gear that has the shock absorbing trail link gear and sequencing doors. it also has a full cockpit as well as nav and strobe lights. it is poweredby an os 50 (non hyper) and my 17 yr old jr pcm 10 guides it. i painted the rotorhead and align 600mm carbon blades to make the realism better. oh, i also have a retractable landing light as well.
the airwolf is always a challenging build especially for a newbie and the gear is particularly demanding of your patience, reason behind designing my own system.
although the paint finish on the prepainted airwolf form century is nothing less than perfect, the lines arent quite right so i got the unpainted fuse andpainted my own.
