Piece of cake. Just put it back together the same way it came apart.

B-)

I've replaced it once, and it's pretty easy...just time consuming. I have also had to do this when replacing the swash.
1: take landing gear off
2: take the plastic "skin" off.
3: (optional, but easier) take battery tray off (4 screws) This gets easier access to the gear assembly.
4: Unscrew the 2 screws holding the lower shaft gear and put them in safe place.
5: take off metal shim that surrounds lower gear and put in safe place.
6: pull lower gear off
7: grasp the upper blade assembly with one hand and the heli frame with the other.
8: Pull the upper blade assembly free from the lower blade assembly. The upper blade assembly is attached to the inner shaft.
*** be careful not to lose the bearing that is tucked away in the outer gear ***
The inner shaft has a tendency to stick to that bearing when pulling so a little force maybe needed.
*** also be careful not to lose the bearing that is in the outer shaft housing where the inner shaft slides into***
9: Replace with new inner shaft and replace all parts in opposite order
*** caution*** when placing lower shaft, it also has a tendency to knock out the bearing that is resting in the outer shaft gear.

If there is any resistance when removing the inner shaft from the outer shaft, the lower blade grips have set-screws that hold it to the outershaft, you may have to loosen these, but shouldn't have to. Sometimes these set screws press into the inner shaft, but if that were the case then there would be binding as the upper blades spin.
