Hi everyone!
I am having a problem with my BCX2 I crashed it into neighbours grage and since that one of the motors always seems to power up and I go into a yaw (spin) always to the left I have the old 4 in 1 unit in it.
I tried adjusting the proportional on it thinking maybe I knocked it out but no it's not that. I have replaced the OEM motors with the extreme ones with ball bearings and poped in a new battery and I still have the same problem.
I tried to counter with the sticks but that did not help much still goes into a spin (Indoors)
Please help me out???
Is it the 4 in 1 unit and if so where can I find a 4 in 1 at a decent price or can I get the new 3 in 1 unit and use it with existing receiver????
I like the new DX7 transmitter but don't need it ATM so I don't feel like coughing out a pile for another complete radio if I can save myself some $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
Thank you in advance!

I have had this after a crash, the lower set of blades have move up or down the main shaft. Make sure they are in the correct position before spending money. I would also say 9 times out of 10 if the 4 in 1 ha d blown, one or both motors don't spin.

I agree with G-MRM. The 4:1 is possible blown, but check a couple things first. When you power the heli, do both motors turn? If yes...at the same speed? If no...switch the two motor plugs in the 4:1 and remember to reverse polarity. This will put motor 1 in Motor 2 spot and vice versa, if the other motor doesn't turn, then it is a 4:1 issue. I believe that you can replace with the 3:1 with the current Rx. If the motors both turn at same speed but the gears don't, ensure that the motor pinion is in sync with the gear. Sometimes the mainshaft will move causing the motor gear not to be connected to the motor pinion.

Thanks guys for info!
I re-checked the motors to gear mesh and it is good,no slip there and it is working correctly in that sense.
I have replaced the motors thinking they were the problem with the Extreme ones from boomtown hoobies and still the same problem.
I tried reversing the conectors top to bottom on the 4 in 1 and I had only one motor turn,I put it back the way it was intended and they both spin and even start off the same but as soon as you get over low throttle you can hear one wind up.
I was going to ask about the 3 in 1 and if I can upgrade to that and there is another part I think I need to purchase but was not sure if I could bind the 3 in 1 to the original transmitter???
Those **** 4 in 1 units cost a lot more then they are worth.

Do you have the AR6100e Spectrum 2.4ZGhz DSM2 Rx. If the Answer is Yes, then a 3:1 will work. I have the CX2 with that RX with the 3:1. The 3:1 is by Eflight that is a 3:1 control unit with mixer speed control and gyro system with a model # of the 3:1 is EFLH1023.This 3:1 will work with the specified Rx, as it works on mine...stock.

:p

Thanks for the welcome!

BTW the transmitter is a LP5DSM (2.4 GHz DSM technology)
and the 4 in 1 has a part # EFLH 1024,not sure if that helps answer the question???
Sorry I am very new to heli flight and not sure about lots of stuff so far, just what I read or see so far.
Thank you in advance.

Actually it did not answer the question, but that is Ok;). The TX is the big box that you hold in your hand to control the Heli which has 2 joysticks on it. The Tx talks to the Rx, which is on the Heli. Look on the CX2, you have to take the front cover off. Right next to the 4:1 is a gold and black box that has about 4-5 connectors in it. That is the Rx. Look on it and see if it is the AR6100e Spectrum 2.4ZGhz DSM2 Rx. I believe it should be. Let me know. It should say on it. A Pic is below of the Rx and what it looks like. Find the Exact same on the CX2 and let me know if it is the same.

nope not the same,it looks like this:

Okay...Hmmm. The 4:1 and Rx are the same Module:?. How long ago did you get the CX2? The reason I'm asking is that the CX2 now are changed over to the 3:1. With that being the case I do not think that the 3:1 will work with that since the 4:1 is the ESC/Rx combo vs. the 3:1 is just the ESC. IOW, if you want a 3:1, you also need a RX, as I don't think the 4:1 ESC/RX combo is compatable with the new 3:1. Sorry:(.

Here's the 3:1

http://www.helihobby.com/html/eflight_blade_cx.html

If you want to go 3:1
You should be able to pick up a rx from the LHS, and they might also have the 3:1 as well.

Quick off topic. Hey any moderators out there to place this thread under the coaxial section. Thanks:).

Oh...and a plus for the DX6100e, is that it is programable with the DX7.

:(

Well thanks for that info,I got the chopper on trade from someone a while ago and they got for also a while ago so I have no clue how old it is exactly.
I was looking into the idea of getting the DX7 and that set up but ATM I can not justify the cost of a new radio set up.
