hi blunny,
Welcome to Helitown forum. Tell us a little bit more about the problem. Does it always spins out of control like this since you started flying out of the box or it just started spining a later on after a crash. What side does it spin - left or right? While waiting for more info from you, I would suggest that you check the propotional adjustment on your 4 in 1 unit. There are two adjustment pots next to the receiver light - one is the propotional adjustment - the other is gain adjustment. If the nose of your heli spins to the right, adjust it counterclockwise (-). If the nose of your heli spins to the left, adjust it clockwise (+). When you adjusting, make sure you disconnect the battery from the motor first and then after you adjusted, connect it back and test it. If that does not resolve the problem or you have done this already, post back.

Also when you spin her up, when at say 1/4 stick if you move the stick (for the rudder) left to right, do you see the tail motor spin faster or slower? This would test the basic tail control.
Also while on the basic, is the little motor that turnd the tail blades nice and free to run, in mesh with the gear the tail blades connect to via the two drive pins ?
When we get the new video link forum this will be so easy !!!!

Hey scootercp2, do you have the video online now? Just post a link. If you still have it in your camcorder, load your camcoder software and upload it to this forum or other video storage site.

The second time was great! Like you said parts were made to be broken to get more upgrades. :) You kind of hide the very last part pretty good :) :)

When they just came out I tried a pair of them on my Blade CP. I did not weigh them but they seemed to be heavier than the woodies. It is slower and less responsive so for newbie this maybe good. Some people cut some holes in them to make the blades lighter. At one point, I cut out a pair of Trex 450 - 315 Fiber blades and put them on my Blade CP. They were about the same weight. I actually cut them out using Esky HB CP2 Woody blades - see pictures. I tried them for awhile on my stock Blade CP. It was slow but it flew fine for those who wanted slow response. Then I was afraid that the head assembly will be destroyed because of the impact during crash, I stopped using them. These pastic blades are not desinged to absort impact during crashes. So your head assembly (which is more expensive and harder to fix) will get all the forces and impacts from the crash. Since Bbhobbies sells the woodies for $7 a pair, I continue to use the woody baldes. My LHS sells them for $14 a pair!

yeah my lhs sells em for 16 dollars and i have ordered from bp for 7 bucks too. I've broken a few things with my wooden blades though, if you crash you can bet you bent your main shaft no matter what and in that video i sheared the ball ends off the rotor head. I wanted to keep flying and i didn't have a spare rotor head avaiable so i threw on my aluminum head. Anyways like i said its not like i haven't been breaking enough with the woodies already and the plastics were only 20 bucks from jcshobbies.com so i figured its worth the try. The only problem i noticed was the blade hitting the tail boom and ripping it in two. I know the blades are the easiest part to change but they're also one of the most expensive.
And if that wasn't enough reasoning tonight i was trying to track a pair of blades in that i had only crashed once and i thought they were fine, but as i spun it up and got eye level with the blades the tip seperated and smacked me right in the ear another inch over and i'd be without an eye right now. I can't believe it hurt that bad. Anyways i guess there was a crack in the balsa that i couldn't see cuz the monokote was covering it, this should be a warning to all those that track they're blades in without wearing safety glasses.

Sorry to hear about your accident. I am glad it was not your eye. You are absolutely right - try them and you may like them based on your flying style. Let us know what you think when you try them on.

well i got my plastic blades in the other night and they are sweeeet. I can't believe how durable they are. I was trying to hover at work but i had a terrible time with it i'm thanking my new aluminum head for that. Anyways the blades smacked a 1/8" thick piece of aluminum that was standing up( i work in a metal shop). It knocked over the plate and took my cp2 out of the air. The only damage i had was 2 scratches on the blade not even a bent shaft for some reason. My woodies would've been demolished. I haven't had a chance to fly it yet, crappy weather on the east coast, but so far these blades have saved me 10 bucks. haha

Hi scootercp2,
It looks like the alum head and plastic blades make your heli stronger. I am in Virginia right now visiting my sister and I know about the weather today.

Yeah and the weather ain't looking so hot for saturday either. Yeah u can defineatly tell that its stronger but it still has its weak spots. The alum head for instance uses set screws with points on the end for attaching to the main shaft. I thought great i get to do away with that annoying little paper clip pin that held the plastic head on. First crash with the wood blades on it and it sheared the tips off the set screws. So now i'm thinking that the shaft wasn't so bad. haha
The best mod i've done was to add the super skids. They really helped the thing out strength wise i love em.
