I am with you on this. I hate programming a ESC with the tone of the motor sounds. I bought a Hyperion 30A ESC which all the default settigns happened to be what I wanted and I did not have to do anything. If you invest a in RC, you can get an a Hyperion Emeter the can use to program Hyperion ESCs. CC ESC can be programed via your PC if you have the interface cable.
