I'm lost on sizes. I have a Rx R616FFM 2.4 for micro connector. I have a S3108 and it's micro but does not fit. Nor do my cheaper servos. My 11.1 1800 does not fit, but I think I need a BEC which will use a Dean? Can I adapt? What am I doing wrong? Is micro not micro? This is all for a Trex 450, if it matters.

Sorry man but you bought the RX with micro connectors used in ultralight rc. It's a whole different aspect of RC. Hopefully you can return the RX and get a normal version.
Slow down a little and let's get it all sorted out.;)
BEC is nice on a trex (or any 3S heli) but not required until the servos start being worked together hard.

Thanks. At least I know all else is good. It was so cheap, I grabbed it up just in case. I was looking at the Fox 100. Maybe that will fit. Anyone know which 2.4 Rx I need? Do they all fit? I was going for light not high performance. I'm more of a scale person.

What TX do you have? Since there was such a fundamental error I'll not be assuming nothing for a while ;). Each brand of 2.4 is proprietary to it's own brand. Even within brands not all the RX are compatible with all the TX.
You can buy the micro ends (or cut them from extensions) and solder them onto what you have so they'll fit the rx, you may even be able to find an adapter. The S3108 is available with micro connectors so no problem with the current.

I have the 7C-2.4 Futaba. I sure wish I could find a mentor. Still having a blast. Thanks for the input. I'm pretty good with soldering, so we will see. I should be able to more then I paid for it on ebay. I grabbed it up for $15.00. Thanks for the time.

You have basically the same thing as my module I use on my 9C. I Use the R607FS 7 channel RX. Past experience has proven IMO that 7CH is good even though you only need 6Ch. Just think of it as future proofing.

Futaba got back to me. They said you don't want to use a gyro with this Rx. Ebay, here I come.

I don't understand that other than no gyro has micro connectors. You are probably on the right track to sell it and use the money to get a rx with normal connectors. What Gyro are you going to use? Just to avoid any future problems how about a list of all the stuff you want to use? Let's see if we can't get you in the air.
My X400 has all Trex compatible parts on it and is mostly setup as "high end". It's on 72mhz still but when/if I convert over it'll have a R607FS 7 channel RX.
CC phoenix 45A (35A is fine but a few bucks more and not much bigger)
Align 420LF motor Probably a good motor to start with @~2500 rpm HS I have 10 fewer teeth on the maingear so it's a good motor for me.
Gy401 / S3153 on the tail
HS65HB servos
parkBec (you'd be OK with the onboard BEC)
325mm pro woodies
Let me know if I can help
