What precautions one should take while flying helicopter in stormy wheather

Just one: DONT.
All aircraft are sensitive to weather, winds in particular and helicopters even more so.
If you are referring to RC helis- go inside if its an electric and 450 size or smaller. If it's a nitro or gasser; pet it, clean it, do a few dozen maintenance overhauls while you wait for the weather to clear.
If you are referring fullsize "real" helis- you probably wont find one flying in foul weather. Ever. While I consider a helicopter alot less dangerous to fly than an airplane, they're still WAY to expensive to risk challenging a storm.

Electronics can't mix with water, don't fly in wet weather. For real heli, most will be grounded for foul weather.
