I have a Blade 400 that I just finished repairing after my first crash. Now I am having a problem with one of the servo's being reversed. When I try to lift off I am getting downward thrust instead of upward. Please help. Thanks for any help you can provide.

On the blade 400 / 6I combo you can reverse channels and/or reverse swash functions to get everything moving the right way. While mucking about in the reverse menu unplug the motor! You screw up and reverse throttle it can get exciting.

Well yea!! I just did this stunt a few days ago and exciting would be the word. Ended up being the worst crash I have had so far. Lost the head and tail and two servos. Not to mention a nice bruise on my hand from attempting to catch the dang thing.

For all you newbees, unplug the motor when working on these things!! If you reverse the throttle during setup the throttle hold switch does nothing!! However, I was going to up grade the parts that broke so it worked out ok. It was kinda funny to see the heli take off with the ESC and Receiver hanging down like Christmas tree tinsel. :D

The learning curve does not stop at the flying field!! :p

If you have a computer radio with multiple model memory capability, the first thing to do after a successfull maiden flight would be copy all the settings and named it backup + xx to another model memory.

That very thing has saved my bacon on more than one occasion. Mostly due to, "Here, lemme see that", and next time you go to use it, that model had been erased.

back to your title " How to reverse a servo "

For the stock E-flite/Spektrum digital servo, you may use the programmer to set the center, travel distance and the direction of the servo.

For regular servo, you may have to open up the servo, reverse the motor leads and switch both end of the pot terminals.

Forgot to mention the easy way to reverse the servo is from the servo REV menu of the Tx.
