TRex 250 for TRADE

I have my very carefully built, upgraded, never crashed, TRex 250 and all the spare purchased, including battterys (x2), Spektrum 6200 RX, CF blades, tail upgrades, super kit parts (gyro, esc, tail servo) that I would be willing to trade for a Traxxas Summit truck.


I've been watching those and they really look fun. I have a 16 year old son who is more interested in cars / trucks than helis / planes. I love my little 250, and have put a lot of TLC into her. I love flying her. Shy flies as good as my R50, and much better than the B400. It is still too squirrely to fly in the house more that a hover an piro to 2. I have a hard time seeing it outside compared to my R50, so, if you have a Summit and want to trade, lemme know......

Heh... Just waiting for my LHS to open up this morning so I can call and see if they have any rebuilt models I could get a deal on. This guy who I go to does a professional job. Any rebuilt models that he prepares for sale are of the highest quality, and outfitted with all the new upgrades and goodies that are available at the time. Due to this fact, his used sales are nearly always gone before noon... and he opens up shop at 11:00am!!! lol

I personally have no cars at this time, but that summit has also caught my interest. I know quite a few locals who own one or two of them, and they seem to be a very reliable vehicle with much in the way of versatility. Once people get their hands on one, they usually don't let go of it. ;)

One of the guys that flies with us has one of these little heli's and has a ball with it. Rick is one of the best flyers out there and has numerous other birds, from Rex 600-to nitros but he can't put the 250 down. He flies this heli hard and admits he does not care about a crash, most of the time it just bounces off the ground with little to no damage.:D Heck, you can't even here it crash and bent shaft is only 3-4 bucks:D. We joke him when takes it out to the field, " Dude be careful theres a bee buzzing around you" or "Hey I think I got some bug spray in my truck".:D

He seems to use it to work out new 3d moves before trying it on a more expensive heli. At his advanced skill level, thats pretty smart if you ask me. Would not mind having one myself but I'm saving for a scale fuse.

Good luck though, someone will surly pick-up a sweet little heli.

Ya know, after replying to mindless, I had an idea.

The whole thought of this trade was because I stopped into the LHS on Fri. last week and saw they had the Summit in stock. I'd been watching them, and happened to have my 250 in the car. So, I offered it to the owner / employee as a straight trade. He is still thinking about it, but so have I. I put an add here and on rcuniverse. Now, here's an idea.

And they have it in stock. If someone wants the 250 bad enough, they could go online, order it from the LHS, and I can go down there and swap with them (since they would know ahead of time what we are doing) and they could just ship you the heli instead. Even if they don't go for that, if you authorize me to pickup your order, I'll send out the 250 with all the spares and replaced original parts for only shipping cost plus insurance if you want it.

Very, Very good deal if you ask me, as I probably have over $600 in the 250, and that doesn't include all the TLC!

I just talked to the LHS. They said no problem to order via phone from them and authorize me to pick it up. They would prefer to do it on the phone as the shipping information wouldn't be valid on an online order. They can do CC, or Paypal even over the phone.....

Just lemme know.

I placed an ad on rcuniverse, and ended up trading my 400/450 stuff for the Summit. Therefore, I'll be hanging on to my 250. I'll close this thread once the transaction has completed. Until then.....

Also, this is the guy's first heli. He has been a RC truck / car man all his life. I suggested that he get signed up here for the new addiction. He agreed, so lets watch out for him, and get him going.

He is going to end up with all my 400/450 stuff including upgrades and spares. He'll have enough parts to cover the first couple of crashes anyway.

marine57 just joined and hasn't posted yet. He is the recipient of the B400/Trex450SA and all my spares for that size, so he should be very well set for the addiction. (Hope he knows what he's in for....)

And another guy accepted my offer on the 250 for his Summit before I had a chance to retract.... although it would be quite fun to have 2 of them so my boy and I can truck around at the same time, so, I'm still willing to trade with him. He said in is email that he would accept tonight, and I responded that it was still valid, so we'll see what happens.
