Hi Eddie I understand you work in San Jose , it is indeed a small world sometimes . I lived in San Jose for eight years and worked at Aydin Microwave and for Intel..Fab One just before the Great America Parkway in Sunnyvale. I was there when we broke out the first 286 processor!...sigh long time ago...
I also miss REAL mexican food , there was a great little place near downtown SJ called the Guadlajara ..they had the most awesome chile verde burritos a man ever tasted... 8)
My daughter was born in Los Gatos and we also owned some acreage up in the mountains over Santa Cruz. I don't miss the crime and the traffic but still have some fond memories...Sleepster... 8)

I have to say San Jose now is the most diversed city when it comes to foods and people. There are a lot of good things about it but as you said traffic is my worst nightmare everyday commuting to work. It takes me one hour to one hour and a 1/2 to commute 30 miles. My work place is close to the San Jose airport on Julian road.

I still remember my first computer I owned was 286 and it had 4 bytes of RAM and it cost me $1,400! That was in 1989. Now my laptop has 1 gig of RAM with the most robust of Intel processor and it cost me $900! Nice to hear that you used to be in San Jose. Whenever you visit San Jose, drop me a line.
