Hi, one of our club members came over with his AirWolf, not only did it look good but the speed it can fly..........
Before Broker says it should be in the scale section, it is a T Rex 450 SE !
It was being flown like a 50 size, so high and fast that to my eye just became a small dot in the sky ! Very nice Terry for the display you gave us.
The 60 size one that Terry also came with just would not start however I may add that photo to the scale section !!!

I have to admit I am not a fan of the Airwolf but this T-Rex does look good.
I hope to be meeting Terry in the next couple of weeks so I will be able to check it out personally and get some good pics for the scale section.

I have to agree. It does not look like a Trex. I guess it is the picture. It is very AirWolf. Pass my kudos to Terry for me.

I reckon that looks the business :) .
Is that stock bodywork or clever fabrication :?: .
I do think it misses the exhaust plume that they had coming out of the bottom of helis in the older action movies though   (my partner used to ask me why I thought they were models  ).
I still reckon the 450XL could, with a bit of major surjury, pass for a stand off Cobra(that long low canopy squared off would look trick). Beware, I am of an age that built plasticard railway engines quite some time ago    . I may get round to it one day but can imagine the mess when I touch planet earth at speed   .

Well I haven't seen an Airwolf/Trex 450 conversion till now but it looks verra nice... :D The lil Rexy's can go pretty good with a good setup and a good pilot 60 + mph!... 8)

Very nice Airwolf there....
I love the Airwolf Fusilage design. I had to have one but knew black (dark colored) helis are hard to see. Here is mine with a shogun inside.

Thanks for the kudo's. it flies well and is quite exciting.... Something about flippin that gear retract switch makes me hold my breath every time.
The LG retracts are custom cf construction. Only issue is the nose gear retracts rearward. the full scale bell 222 has all three gear retracting forward. Getting everything inside that fuselage and designing the retracts was an interest puzzle. The paint job was a true learning experience.
All in all, it was a really fun project. Its still all in one piece and in the same shape as on its maiden flight.....probably due to the fact I don't fly it much (kinda precious to me). I've got other guns and micro heli's so sitting on the shelf is just fine. I take it to the gym when I know there may be other people there to enjoy the show.
A maiden flight after 140 hours of work on a fusilage is quite a bit more unnerving than a maiden after $500 in CNC upgrades. Its been 10 months since its maiden and it feels like the first time.....everytime. I simply cannot relax enough to enjoy. (in other words, I don't trust my stupid thumbs)
