work continues.
some details. fuse is a vario 60 size ec135. vario no longer makes this fuse, its been replaced by a larger version suitable for turbine and gasoline. the predator has an os 91 c'spec and sports a century four blade head. the fenestronm unit is one i made myself and works very well. i have so far cut the doors open, made a radome for the nose and mounted the fenestron tail drive. my Angelina likes to help me with the build.

looking real good.
having seen all your previous projects, I know that this will be a show piece!
I need to find a day to go to your house and just watch you work so I can learn some of your scale building secrets :):)

Roy, you know you are welcome anytime, we always have fun.
more pics. i have always been the type who like to fabricate my own parts. i often do this using unconventional materials. the nose radar dome is made form a combination of constructionpaper and half of a plastic easter egg. the stator vanes in the fenestron tail housing is also made from cunstruction paper. i believe in the uk its called cartridge paper. good stuff. i also used the cardboard material form cereal boxes to make the lower part of the vertical fin that is located under the fenestron. much of the scale cockpit will be made from the cereal box cardboard as well. this method of doing things gives one a great feel of accomplishment, credit to skill and well its so much cheaper than buying that stuff, that is if its available by a amanufacturer. i mean, how many peoiple out there manufacture a cockpit for an ec135 like the one i am building? and if they do, what does it cost??
the fenestron was made using the blade grips form an old kalt enforcer(space baron in europe) i had several of these machines back in the day and lots of parts were left over. the center hub i had machined and the pitch controlplate is a futaba large servo wheel. all this is mounted to an xcell 60 t/r gearbox.
the anticollisionlight in the top of the vertical stab is made using an old ink pen's main body.
the last pic uploaded is of the fullsize bird my model will look like when completed. this is an ofsore bird. PHI also does medivac.
