Depends on if you plan to do 3D or just sport flying. For 3D consider the TT 53 Redline or the new OS55 Hyper. For sport flying any standard 50 engine will do although my personal preference would be TT or OS.

I assumed the 'e' in 50se was that it was going to be electric.........

I use a 2s 2000mah lipo with regulator to 6/v and resistor for 5v on the tail.

I use 2S A123 with a diode to step down the tail on some of mine, on others it's the 2S lipo and align 2in1. I think one of my Varios is running a 4cell Nimh pack. If you go above the 4 cell packs voltage make sure your servos are rated for it.

Do you think a 4.8V 3300mAH NiMH Rx pack is ok for my heli?

It should be about perfect! Just remember to charge it the night before and to top it off often during the day (standard procedure for all rx packs).

Pretty much anything mentioned on page one will do just dandy. To recap.. 2S lipo and a regulator, 4.8V nixx pack of your choice and desired size.

Since your choice of servos is rated at 6V you can also run a 6v NiXX pack. Be aware that most tail servos won't run at 6V for long and need a "step down". Not knowing very much about your setup other than airframe, engine, servos and tx and what chemistry you'd prefer to run.... Price range? etc
