Started this T-Rex 450XL ages ago but lost a bit of interest in the build but have decided to dust it down and get it finished, have added a metal swashplate in red/pink of course as an upgrade. :D

Wow Ranger that's a really bad place for the gyro. Sooo many people have crashed and had the flybar bend. Whack you need a new gyro. I'll mount mine up there only until I have the stuff I need acces to the onboard pots set and then move it between the frames.

Seriously if you bend the flybar that is exactly where it hits.

I have not seen a red Trex 450XL upgade swashplate. Is it an ARK X400 swashplate?

Yes it is the red one for the ARK, nice upgrade.

We had a burst of work on this heli last night and ended with all the servos fitted, ESC wired in. Programmed the TX for the CCPM control and did all the mechanical setup part from blade pitch and tracking. Maybe a short test flight/hover Thursday evening.........
