There will come a time when as a beginner you will want to build your first kit, the most essential tool you will have is your manual and it is also your most delicate tool as it is made of paper.

I always photo copy the manual and then insert the pages into plastic covers and put them in a ringbinder book this way all my manuals are in one place, I can take a page out of the book should I need to and the pages are kept clean and protected.
Should you decide later on to sell your kit the manual it came with will be in pristine condition.

Hi Sue,

I down load copies from the internet, in the form of PDF files and then burn copies of those to CD :D

I loose ring also, gives me places to put my notes, linkage lengths, etc. Pretty much simplifies rebuilding after crashing. You can jot in hours at failure like belt replacement schedule etc also, and not mess up the original.

My be I should make notes on the back of the CD

You could do that Glen but the notes would have to spiral either outwards or inwards and it may make for difficult reading.

I even went high tech. I got binders with pockets on the outside so I put the little doo doo manuals in the pockets so I can find them if I ever need them but they aren't in the way.
