You can add a graphic avatar to your User Name (the small picture displayed under your User Name) by following these steps:
1. Use any photo edit application to resize the picture to less than 80 X 80 pixels and 6 kbyte for file size.
2. Save it on your desktop or local drive.
3. Access your forum profile and go down the page to the Avatar Control section.
4. Browse to where you save your avatar.
5. Select the avatar file name.
5. Click submit to upload your avatar.
6. If there is no error message, your avatar will be added to your profile.
Most of the uploading problem is because the size or file size of avatar are more than the max size allowed (100 X 100 and 9 Kbytes.) You can check the properties of you avatar to see how much the size and file size are over the limits. If one of them is over, use your phot edit oftware to adjust it and upload again.
You also can upload an avatar from another website by entering the URL of your avatar in the [Upload Avatar From URL] field. The picture will be uploaded to the Helitown forum.
You also can link an avatar from another website by entering the URL of your avatar in the [Link to off site Avatar] field. The avatar will be linked to the source of your avatar.
You can only have one avatar at a time. So if you want to have a new avatar, delete your old one first.
